Art in Context
Meyer Zafra was born from a reflection on gaze and perception, inherited from kinetic art and geometric abstraction. For over twenty-five years, the gallery has developed an approach attentive to forms that question movement, space, and our way of seeing. This research guides all of the selections presented, through works chosen for their visual strength, formal coherence, and the sensory experience they offer.
Now, Art, Design, and Objects coexist within the same universe. Not by juxtaposition, but by resonance. Each work, each piece of furniture, each object is selected for its formal quality, its presence, and the singularity of its language. Together, they create an environment where disciplines respond to each other and enrich our way of inhabiting space.
Our Story
Founded in the heart of the Marais in 2000, Meyer Zafra is rooted in a family history and a long-term commitment to artists and collectors. Today, this adventure continues under the impetus of Héloïse Zinger, daughter of Espace Meyer Zafra gallery founder Liliane Zafrani, in a spirit of continuity and renewal. Meyer Zafra advocates for relationships based on dialogue, trust, and time, prioritizing long-term support over simple transactions.
A collector's apartment
Meyer Zafra imagines each season as a new interior, that of a fictional collector named after the gallery: Meyer Zafra.
Through this fictional collector, artworks, design, and collectible objects engage in a dialogue within a single narrative. Pieces are not grouped by category but by affinity, creating connections between disciplines and inviting viewers to imagine their place in a living space.
As acquisitions, discoveries, and encounters unfold, this interior evolves naturally, just like that of a real collector. Each exhibition reveals a new composition where works respond to one another, offering a sensitive perspective on how art, design, and objects inhabit a space.
